# How to Browse the Indie Game Store Front

# The Homepage

The homepage is designed to give you a quick overview of the best and newest content available. Use this as your initial hub for all store activities.

  • Featured Games: This section highlights games that are currently promoted by the store management. Look for titles marked as "Recently Added" or "New Releases" These are our top recommendations based on quality and community reception.
  • Top Games: You can find top performing games at our Charts page
  • Main Navigation Bar: This is your primary access point to the entire store. It contains links to all major categories, allowing you to jump directly to specific types of games without endless scrolling. You can also access games you have in your Cart.
  • Search Bar (Under Construction): The simplest tool for finding a specific game. Learn how to use keywords (like genre, or developer tags) effectively to zero in on your desired title immediately.

# Sorting and Filtering: Genre Page

We have a dedicated page to search by genre. Just click on any genre in the Main Navigation Bar to be brought to the page. Genre (In the future we will be adding dedicated Genre pages and pages)

  • Filtering by Genre: Use this to narrow down results significantly. Select all relevant genres (e.g., RPG, Platformer, Puzzle, Narrative Adventure) to see only games that fit your preferred playstyle.
  • Sorting Options: Control the order in which games are presented. Popular sorting methods include:
    • Sort by Release Date (Newest First): Great for finding the absolute latest titles.
    • Sort by Name: Sorts the games alphabetically.
    • Sort by Popularity/Sales: Shows you the hits that the community is currently enjoying most.
    • Sort by Price (Low to High / High to Low): Essential for budget-conscious browsing. Note - Currently only Sorting by Alphabetical name is supported

# Exploring Game Pages

When you click on a game, you need detailed information to make an informed decision about purchasing it.

  • Game Overview: This section provides the essential facts at a glance: full title, release date, developer/publisher, core genre tags, and the current rating summary.
  • Screenshot & Trailer Carousel: Interact with the visual assets provided. View high-resolution screenshots, trailers, and art galleries to get a true sense of the game's atmosphere and style.
  • Detailed Description: Read the full synopsis to understand the story, setting, core gameplay loop, and unique mechanics before committing.
  • Reviews & Ratings: Drill down into community feedback and professional critiques to gauge the overall quality, potential issues, and player experience.
  • System Requirements: Crucial step! Check the minimum and recommended hardware/software requirements to ensure the game will run smoothly on your system.
  • Store Options: Locate all purchasing avenues, including different editions (Standard, Deluxe), DLC availability, and any exclusive bundle deals.

These sections help you discover content based on what is currently relevant or recommended by the community.

  • Trending Games: See what is currently gaining the most traction in terms of views, sales, or recent activity across the store. Great for catching what’s hot right now. Charts
  • New Arrivals: Focus on content that has just been added to the store, ensuring you are always up-to-date with fresh content.
