Game Pages allow you to showcase your game directly on our marketplace and reach a dedicated audience of gamers. It’s designed for ease-of-use without sacrificing detailed control over how your game is presented.

Purpose:

The purpose of this editor is to provide you with everything you need to create an engaging and informative page for your game, optimizing it for discoverability and sales. It's designed for ease-of-use without sacrificing detailed control over how your game is presented.

How to Edit Your Game Page:

  1. Login: Log in to your IndieBuilds store account via [Link to Login].
  2. Navigate: In your dashboard, click on “Manage Games” and then select the game you wish to edit from the list.
  3. Start Editing: Click the “Edit Game Page” button within the game’s details view. This will open the editor form.

# Understanding the Editor Form Sections:

The game page editor is divided into five key sections, each with specific controls for maximizing your game's impact:

1. Game Details (Required)

  • Game Title: (Text Field) – The name of your game as it will appear on the marketplace.
  • Short Description: (Text Area) - A brief overview of your game (approx. 50-75 words). This is the first thing visitors will see, so make it captivating!
  • Long Description: (Rich Text Editor) – Provides a detailed description of your game’s story, mechanics, features, and any unique selling points. Use formatting options within this editor for bullet points, headings, etc., to improve readability.
  • Genre: (Dropdown Menu) - Select the most appropriate genre(s) for your game. Helps users find your game easily.
  • Platform(s): (Checkboxes) – Choose all platforms your game is available on (e.g., PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, Switch).
  • Release Date: (Date Picker) - The date your game was released or will be released.
  • Developer Name: (Text Field) – Your game’s developer name.
  • Website URL: (Text Field) - Link to your game's official website for further information and downloads.

2. Game Files (Required)

  • Game Download File: (File Upload) - This is the main executable file (.exe, .app, etc.) that players will download. Maximum File Size: [Specify Limit]
  • Game Version Number: (Text Field) – Specify the version number of your game (e.g., 1.0, 1.2 Beta).

3. Game Pricing

  • Base Price: (Number Input with Currency Selection - e.g., USD, EUR) - The standard price for your game.
  • Discount Percentage: (Number Input – Percentages only) - If you’re offering a discount on your game. This is calculated after the Base Price.
  • Currency: (Dropdown Menu) – Select the currency in which your game will be sold.

4. Game Images

  • Thumbnails (Up to 5): (File Upload - JPG, PNG recommended) – Upload high-quality images for displaying your game's thumbnail on the marketplace. Recommended size: [Specify Recommended Size - e.g., 1280x720]. These are crucial for attracting attention!

  • Trailer URL: (Text Field) – Paste the direct link to your game’s trailer video hosted on platforms like YouTube or Vimeo. Upload your trailer video to a hosting service and then copy the shareable link to paste here. This allows players to instantly see a preview of your game.
